2025 Division I Volleyball National Championship Preview
PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Oct. 29, 2025) … The 2025 USCAA Women’s Division I Volleyball Championship field was announced on Wednesday afternoon as the tournament will be held in Uniontown, Pa. at Penn State Fayette from Nov. 6-8.
This year, the top-seed in the event will be first-time participant Paul Quinn College of Dallas, Texas. The Tigers are 17-12 heading into the event and have won seven of their last 10 matches under head coach Patrick Gonzalez. Paul Quinn is led on offense by junior middle blocker Jakayla Morrow and sophomore outside hitter Carrie Weston. Morrow has 60 blocks on the season, while Weston leads PQC in kills.
The second slot in the tournament field is heading to Hialeah, Florida and the Florida National University Conquistadores under head coach Carlos Huaroto-Luque. Sporting a 13-13 record and making their sixth appearance, the Conquistadores are paced by junior outside hitter Ariana Long who leads the USCAA in service aces and sophomore outside hitter Kitula Amaya Morales who is in the top five in kills, attacks and aces. Senior setter Ivette Sandoval is ranked in the top five in the USCAA in assists as well.
Coming in from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Bay Path University makes its fourth appearance in the last five years. The Wildcats enter the tournament with an 11-7 record and are under the leadership of head coach Heather Longley. Bay Path is led by outside hitter Anastasiya Tsetsko who leads her team in kills and the nation in hitting percentage and Asja Kazic who is second on the team in kills, along with Shanayah St. Phard who leads in digs. As a team, they rank in the top five in the USCAA in kills, hitting percentage, service aces, digs and total blocks.
Taking the final spot in the field are the Celtics of Carlow University from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Celtics are making their 11th appearance and are under the guidance of head coach Julie Gaul. Carlow will be led by senior outside hitter Rebecca Hess who leads her team in digs, kills and total attacks. Senior setter, Sarah Porter will look to run an efficient offense as she has done all season, ranking among the top five setters in the nation in total assists.
The opening round matchups on November 6 will put Paul Quinn against Carlow and Florida National facing Bay Path.
The 2025 USCAA Volleyball National Championships will take place November 6-8th at Penn State Fayette in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
