UC Clermont Cougars Secure Division II National Championship
UNIONTOWN, Pa. (Nov. 8, 2025) … All-Tournament selection Ashley Kaminsky had 16 kills and 14 digs, while tournament MVP Kaitlyn Finnigan had 14 kills and accounted for five blocks as Cincinnati-Clermont captured the 2025 USCAA Women’s Division II Volleyball Championship on Saturday night with a 25-21, 14-25, 25-17, 25-16 win over in-state rival Kent State-Tuscarawas at Penn State Fayette.
In the opening set, the lead went back-and-forth before Cincinnati-Clermont went on a 9-2 run to take a 19-13 lead after an attack error from Kent State-Tuscarawas. That lead was cut to two twice, the last being at 23-21 following a kill from Kent State’s Allie Snyder but UC-C had a kill from Reagan Brummell and an attack error to provide the 25-21 margin.
The second stanza was all the Golden Flashes as they raced out to 13-3 lead after a kill by Jaileigh Price. The Cougars went on a 6-0 run to bring that deficit to 15-11 following an attack error, but that was as close as it got in set two.
That set appeared to have awaken Cincinnati-Clermont as jumped out to a 14-7 lead in set three after a service error and were comfortably in front throughout for a 25-17 third set win and 2-1 advantage.
The same attack mode from the third set carried over as the Cougars bolted out to a 21-9 lead in the fourth after a kill from Finnigan and took a 25-16 final set and championship win.
All-Tournament honoree Allie Snyder paced Kent State-Tuscarawas with 18 kills and 13 digs, while Mackenzie Neininger had 12 kills. Fellow All-Tournament selection Izzy Keller had 24 digs, while Allie Keller had 29 assists.
