USSU Captures 1st USCAA Track & Field National Championship
INDIANA, Pa. (April 25, 2026) … The United States Sports University blistered its way to the 2026 USCAA Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday, amassing 207 points to win the 14-team event held on the campus of Indiana University-Pennsylvania.
The Eagles outdistanced defending champion SUNY-ESF (85) and Florida National (79), who rounded out the top three team scores.
USSU set four meet records on Saturday, all in sprints. Christian Aikens took the 200-meter title in a meet record 21.65, while Cole Hayward won the 400 meters in a new mark of 49.98.
Both relay teams for the Eagles blistered previous records as the 4x100 squad won in 42.63, while the 4x400 won in 3:20.80.
Wenceslao Ferrin Arias of Florida National took the other record set on Saturday winning the 110-meter hurdles in 15.04. He was a double winner as he also took the 400-meter hurdles in 58.36.
Hunter Hall of USSU was a double winner, taking first in the discus (45.63m) and hammer throws (45.28m). Roderickas Burnett was another double winner for the Eagles with top marks in the long jump (7.10m) and triple jump (13.29m).
SUNY-ESF had a winner on Saturday as Sean White won the 3000-meter steeplechase in 10:40.4.
NHTI had the lone triple winner of the meet in Eli Lemire who took top honors in the 1500 meters (4:16.3), 5000 meters (17:35.1) and 10,000 meters (37:00.1).
