2025 Women's & Men's Soccer National Championship Seeding Announced
PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Nov. 5, 2025) … The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced on Wednesday its field for the 2025 Women's and Men's Soccer Championships in Pittsburgh from November 13-17 at the AHN Montour Junction Sports Complex and Highmark Stadium, also home of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
Women's Division I Soccer
Earning the first seed in this year's tournament, are the Bengals of the University of Maine-Fort Kent. The Bengals enter the tournament with an overall record of 7-7-4, notching notable wins over several NCAA D3 opponents this season. This squad plays a balanced game leading the association in shots, while also leading in shutouts. Teams will need to keep an eye on Petagay Dixon who comes in with a team leading 18 points this season, good enough for third in the USCAA. Freshman, Shylah Francis, is also an offensive threat with seven goals this season. On the defensive side of the ball, teams will need to work around center back, Kamoy Brown, and keeper Dreanna Thaw who has 47 saves this season. UMFK is led by head coach Jermaine West.
The second spot in the tournament will go to Shaw University, hailing from Raleigh North Carolina. Lead by veteran head coach, Randy McClure, the Bears look to not only defend their national title, but to three-peat! Shaw enters the tournament with a 6-4-3 record and are headed offensively by Abigail Harrison who has 11 points this season, with five goals and an assist. They run a very balanced offense with nine different goal scorers this season, including five players in double digits including: Lorena Gonzalez and Annika Huder. Teams may also see some variety at keeper as both Olivia Ankrom and Kadence Miller have played significant minutes, combining for over 30 saves and a combined 1.27 goals against average.
Coming in as the three-seed in the field, are the Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse Bobcats. A strong contender each year, the 2025 season looks to be no different as they enter with a 6-4-1 record. Leading the association in goals with 50 and assists with 29, they are led by defending USCAA Player of the Year, Masego Nfandiso, with 20 goals and nine assists this season. Playing along side Masego up top will be fellow senior, Nicelle Drew, who has added 12 goals and two assists this season. Jameela St. Clair will likely be in goal for the Bobcats with a save percentage of .707. Syracuse is led by first year head coach, David Pittman.
Entering at the fourth-seed in the 2025 field, from Petersburg, Virginia are the Virginia State Trojans. In their first year with the association, they look to make a splash in this year’s tournament field. Playing a tough NCAA Division II schedule as a dual affiliate, their 3-10-1 record may be deceiving. They are led by junior, Morgan Parris who has tallied five goals and one assist this season. With depth up top, the Trojans have four other goal scorers in double digits for points. But it will be Tianna Roberts who opposing teams likely face in goal. She’s issued two shutout wins this season and has a save percentage of .738, notching over 80 saves this season. The Trojans are led by head coach, Anthony Andrews.
The USCAA Championships feature a 4-team tournament where the winner of each pool advances to the National title game.
The first match up of the tournament features #1 UMFK v. #4 Virginia State while #2 seeded, Shaw University with square off against #3, Bryant & Stratton Syracuse.
Teams facing defeat in their opening game, will play for 3rd place.
Men's Division I Soccer
Headlining the field for this year’s USCAA Men’s Division I Soccer National Championship will be Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse hailing from Syracuse, New York - The Bobcats come into this year's tournament with a record of 13-1-1 as they are looking to win their third title in just seven years. The Bobcats rank second in the nation in shutouts and third in assists and second in goals scored. They will look to Alvaro Carrera-Aguirre who is fifth in the association in goals with 13 this season. Facilitating the offense will be Jessie Kwasi and Tyriq Armstrong who have six assists this season each. Syracuse is coached by first year head coach, Ryan McGee.
Coming in as the #2-seed in the field, are the Five Towns College Sound from Dix Hills, New York. Entering the tournament with a 10-3-5 record, this marks the second straight tournament appearance for the Sound since making the jump to Division I two seasons ago. Five Towns ranks in the top three in the nation in shots on goal, shutouts and shots on goal percentage. They have been led by Daniel Valverde who ranks among the top 10 in the association in both goals (8), and points (22). He will be supported by Gabriel Santos and Anthony Campos who each tallied seven goals this season. Keeper, Jose Garcia has made 83 saves so far this season for head coach Jason Fiscina.
Earning the third seed in the 2025 field are the Bengals from Maine Fort Kent. With an overall record of 8-2-4, UMFK has scored 32 goals in 14 games, with Deandre Smith (9) and Mike German (8) leading in goals scored this season. Rohane Brown has been the point man all year for the Bengals as he has found his teammates for five assists this year. A team that is no stranger to the USCAA National Tournament, Maine Fort Kent is primed to take on its opponents with upperclassmen anchoring their entire starting 11 for head coach Dru Bogden.
And the fourth-seed in for this year’s tournament is Berkeley College. The Knights have an overall record of 9-5-2 averaging just over two goals a contest. Steven Urbes leads his team in goals (7) and assists (4), while Hector Castro has scored four goals in just eight contests on the year. The Knights are coached by first year head coach Matt DaCosta.
The fifth spot in this years tournament was earned by the Tigers of Salem University. Making their first ever USCAA Soccer tournament appearance the Tigers boast a 4-7-6 record in the impressive NCAA Division 2 Mountain East Conference. Salem is paced by Caleb Christner who has seven goals and three assists in 17 games. CJ Branch has found the back of the net four times while Josue Villegas has scored three times and assisted on two goals of his own. In the net, Jason Barrientos has made 68 saves in 14 games allowing just over one goal per contest. The Tigers are coached by Greg Gilmore.
The sixth and final spot in the field will go to Bryant & Stratton-Rochester from Rochester, New York. Heading into this year's national tournament with a record of 9-6-3 the Bobcats are led by James Mather, Michael Ingallinera and Callum Judge who all have seven goals each. Toby Hewett follows closely with six goals, while adding five assists. Tomas Dinis leads the Bobcats in the assist category with nine as he is the facilitator of the Rochester attack. As a team, Rochester will be a tough offensive opponent ranking second in the USCAA in shots, meaning the rest of this year’s field will need to deploy their best defensive weapons. The Bobcats are coached by Darren Wynne.
USCAA Championships feature a six team modified FIFA style pool play with two pools of three teams. The winner of each pool advances to the National title game.

Women's Division II
Earning the first seed in this year's tournament from Batavia, Ohio are the University of Cincinnati Clermont Cougars, who look to defend their National Title and chase a three-peat. With a 9-5-1 record, the Cougars play one of the toughest schedules in the Association and are coming in on an eight-game winning streak. Up top they are led by Kaylee Rose and Alexis Taylor who have 34 and 27 points respectively. In the midfield, senior Molly Ennis leads her team in assists with 13 but has also tallied six goals. Senior Jordan Geis will likely be in goal for the Cougars with a save percentage of .852, giving up only 13 goals all year. UC Clermont is coached by Kemar Jackson.
The second spot in the field will go to the Lynx of NHTI, from Concord New Hampshire. With an overall record of 11-1-1, they look to make another strong tournament run in 2025. NHTI is tough in goal, leading the association in shutouts with senior, Hailey Knight in net. She is supported on the other end of the field by senior Adrienne Dorr who has netted 15 goals and seven assists this season to lead the association in points. The Lynx distribute goals well, with seven additional players with three or more goals this season for head coach Heidi Crocket.
Coming in as the three-seed in the field are the Christendom Crusaders from Front Royal, Virginia. The Crusaders are 9-3 this season, going 8-2 in their last 10, with their only loss in October coming from former USCAA member, Johnson and Wales Charlotte. A pair of forwards in Ava Hudson and Megan Lovar will look to lead the offensive attack as they have done all year. Hudson has 11 goals and five assists this season while Lovar has seven goals and six assists. Teams will need to keep an eye on the midfield as well with Maddie Lee doing a great job feeding her goal scorers all season long. At keeper the Crusaders like to operate by committee with juniors Serena Keller and Maria Blank sharing time for head coach Erly Moya.
Entering at the four-seed, will be the PSUAC Champions, Penn State Schuylkill. With a 12-5 record, the Lady Lions are a high flying offense leading the association in goals scored with 53. Leading those scoring efforts are midfielder Nia Bronson with 13 goals and defender Olivia Dress with 10 on the season. But they have 13 other players who have multiple goals this season, so they will score from anywhere on the pitch. Schuylkill has relied all season on a pair of keepers in Kay Lee Morgan and Victoria Grimm who have made 22 and 42 saves respectively, always keeping their squad in the game. Penn State Schuylkill is coached by Kaylee Berkheiser.
Coming in with the five-seed are the Southern Maine Community College Seawolves who claimed the Yankee Small College Conference Championship this past Sunday. With a 9-3-3 record, they will continue to lean on junior forward Jocelyn Civiello, who has eight goals and six assists this season. From the midfield, they will rely on Annabelle Fournier who has netted six goals and two assists on the season. Sophomore, Aubrey Gilbert, will likely be in goal for the Seawolves, with an impressive .907 save percentage this season for head coach Ethan Wells.
Rounding out the field as the sixth and final seed in this year’s national championship will be the Penn State Mont Alto Lady Lions. As the PSUAC Runner up, this is not a team that other tournament participants should sleep on. Second in the association in shots with 395 and goals scored with 48, they will look to score early and often. All season long their primary goal scorers have been first-year player Cameron Dillow and fourth-year player Madison Eberly who lead the team in goals with 12 and 10 respectively. On the other end of the field in goal will either be Kira Weikert with 55 saves this season or Brooklynn Fretwell who has tallied 39 saves this season for head coach Mary Miller.

Men's Division II
The top seed in the 2025 field, and looking to defend their impressive national championship from last season, will be the Central Maine Mustangs of Auburn, Maine. CMCC is paced by sophomore Mitch Cameron who ranks second in the Nation in goals with 21. Albie Fozard-Oakes is the key of the Mustangs attack as he ranks in the top 10 in the nation in assists with 15 to go along with four goals. As a team the Mustangs score goals in abundance as they rank first in the association with 78 goals on the year, in assists with 60 and first in the USCAA in shutouts with 11. The Mustangs are coached by Dalton Wing.
Taking home second spot is first-time PSUAC Champions, Penn State New Kensington. The Lions rank in the top three in goals scored, shots on goal and shutouts. New Kensington is paced by Jayson Ireland who has a PSUAC leading 22 goals. Carson Zadylak is the top assist man for New Kensington with a team-best 13 helpers for head coach Mark Duffield.
The third spot in the tournament will go to the UC Clermont Cougars. With an overall record of 8-4-1, Clermont is primed to make a deep tournament run. Paced by Senior forward Dylan Withers who has scored 10 goals and dished out four assists, he will look to keep scoring on the national stage as Issiaka Thiama will look to facilitate the offense, leading the team with five assists. In goal we will see Cavan Aldridge who has made 43 saves on the year. The Cougars are coached by Avery Patton.
Coming in as the fourth-seed is Penn State Lehigh Valley. Finishing the season with a respectable 10-3-3 record. The Lions are topped by Jack Montesdeoca who is second in the nation in assists with 14, finding teammate Chase Nederostek the majority of the time who has tallied 18 goals on the year. Mike Meyers Jr. has made 44 saves on the year helping him surpass the century mark in a career with 110. Penn State Lehigh Valley is coached by Abe Mamari.
The fifth seed belongs to the Paul Smith’s College Bobcats from Paul Smith’s, New York. Inside the top ten in the USCAA in assists and shutouts, the Bobcats are a team that plays a well-rounded game of futbol. Nate Wiley has 10 goals in 16 games boasting a .244 shot percentage and 23 total points. Maddox Johnson follows close behind with five goals and also ranks second on the team in points with 12. Liam Curthoys and Riley King facilitated the Bobcats attack dishing out four assists each. The Bobcats are coached by Head Coach Chris George.
Rounding out the field as the sixth and final seed in this year’s national championship are the Knights from Central Penn College. With a 7-5-3 record, Central Penn is paced on the front half of the pitch by Isaac Melendez who has 11 goals. In the midfield it is Alija Korkutovic and Blake Eiserman turns defense to offense each adding five assists on the year. Mark Haye has seven total points on the year and has added three goals and one assist on the season for head coach Chris Hartman.
